Priyanka Chopra Biography

Priyanka was born in Jamshedpur (India) on July 18, 1982. While in the high school system, Chopra won the Miss India pageant, and she quickly followed that success by winning the 2000 Miss World pageant as well. On the heels of that international victory, Chopra turned her sights to the film world and soon became a major player in the Bollywood system. She made waves on American television through Quantico, the FBI drama Quantico, which aired from 2015 until 2018 and made headlines due to her marriage to actor and singer Nick Jonas in December 2018. She appeared in her first Bollywood movie, The Hero: Love Story of a Spy, in 2003. In the same year, she also appeared in the film Andaaz. It was the start of a film series that included Plan, Kismat (a romantic comedy about an espionage operative), Asambhav, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Aitrazz, and Asambhav -- all of which came out in 2004. While these films did not have a great time in the box-office, Chopra was successful in her romantic comedy Mujhse Karogi. Chopra was just 20 years old when she made her film debut with Thamizhan then followed it the following year with Jeet Born to Win. Chopra declared that she was unhappy with her debut. "I wanted it to be over when I was done with it!" "I did not realize what was going on." Nick Jonas, actor and actress revealed their relationship in the summer of 2018. The news of their engagement surfaced in July. According to reports, Jonas proposed to Chopra on Chopra's 36th birthday. The couple was married at an extravagant wedding that started on the 1st of December 2018.
