Riley Keough
American actor
Danielle Riley Keough. 2. Born in Santa Monica (California) to the famous
musicians Lisa Marie Presley & Danny Keough and is the grandchild of
actress Priscilla Presley, as well as singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised
by her father in Hawaii, Los Angeles and spent time with her mother in
California. At the age of 15 Keough began modelling. She was featured in Dolce
& Gabbana's fashion shows and Christian Dior's on the cover of Vogue.
Her first feature film appearance came at the age of 20 as she was cast in a
minor part in the film Marie Currie in The Runaways (2010). Following The Good
Doctor (2011) Keough was a part of Jack & Diane (2012). The film was
followed by her being cast in a minor role in Steven Soderbergh's comedy Magic
Mike (2012). Keough has appeared in other independent films in 2012, including
Yellow and Kiss of the Damned, before making an appearance in the high-budget
action feature Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) which was the fourth installment in
the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough had her breakthrough role as a law
student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology series The
Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on his 2009
film of the same name. The film received a lot of praise for her performance
and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress
in a TV limited Series or Motion Picture. Keough's performance as a lost young
girl in American Honey (2017) garnered the same praise and earned her an
Independent Spirit Award nomination. The following year, Keough starred the
apocalyptic horror film It Comes at Night (2017), and reunited with Soderbergh
to appear in his heist movie, Logan Lucky. She followed this with roles in a
variety of thriller and horror films in the year 2018, including Lars Von
Trier's The House That Jack Built as well as the neo-noir Under the Silver
Lake, and Hold the Dark. In 2019, Keough starred as the protagonist in the
psychological horror film The Lodge, followed by another leading role in
comedy-drama Zola (2020). Keough is the main character in Sandy Harrison,
Netflix's 2020 release The Devil All the Time.
