She recalls being invited to visit Italy to model for the fashion industry. "If I could pay thirty dollars a month back to Venezuela that would be worthwhile because it will cover all the water used in the structure." Patricia's accomplishment was a significant moment in fashion since she was able to draw attention to South America for first time. Following her becoming "the first Karl Lagerfeld model ever photographed" She went on to appear in editorial spreads as well as advertisements for the front of Chanel as well as Dolce & Gabbana.
