Rochon Born from Torrance (a suburb in Los Angeles), is the daughter Zelma Staples. Her parents are Samuel Staples a graphic designer and businessman. Cerritos Senior High School, in Cerritos California is the place where Rochon graduated in 1982. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in arts degree in broadcast journalism 1986 from California State University Dominguez (CSUDH). Minors were dramatics and sociology. Heather was the host and the creator of Drive Yourself Local. In this digital travel series she drives the 1965 Ford Mustang on a journey across America as she shares small-town life. Ullerup appeared as Julia Brynn for the first appearance in Battlestar Galactica: The Remake in 2006 on the Sci Fi Channel. Ullerup was Ashley Magnus for the first season and then the second on Sanctuary before her character was created. The reason for her departure was a source of debate between viewers, with a majority people wanting her to the show in subsequent episodes until the show was cancelled in the year 2012. Ullerup was cast in 2016 as Bree O'Brien for Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup appeared as Maggie Thomas as the estranged ex-wife of Michael Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact. Ullerup's recurring role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered series has been Dale Travers since 2016.
